Both girls have put themselves on a synchronized schedule! They have a bath around 7 (fresh diaper, jammies, and a bottle) and they are sound asleep by 8. They wake each other up between 1-3 for a midnight snack and then go back to sleep until morning. They then wake up, play for 2 hours, sleep for 2 hours, and repeat this cycle 3 times before their next bath! The times may vary, but they now give you a glazed look, I can set them in their crib, and they put themselves to bed! The only hard part lately is their constant teething. We are months from teeth, but they are constantly sticking their hands in their mouths and drooling. Unfortunately, they have been snacking a bit. They turn 6 months old on Saturday and I have a feeling that at their 6 month check-up this Monday, we will begin talking solids! Wow!
I am happy to be on Spring Break and soaking up every moment with the Mike and the girls! Morgan, Riley, and I go for walks with Kona, play on the swings at the park down the street, read lots of books and sing tons of songs! I take them everywhere I go! Except last night! It was Moms night out for my twins group! I left the kids with Daddy and had a nice dinner out at the Greenlake Bar and Grill! It felt like such a guilty pleasure to leave and play, but it was so much fun! I have met a group of amazing women who have all had twins and it is so fun and helpful to go through these experiences together and have a support group to lean on!
Speaking of support group, I have to end by saying that I have the dream team taking care of the girls while I am at work! Mike is amazing and loves them so much! He is constantly making little "Videos for Mommy" and sends them to me while I am at school! My Mom is a rock star! These girls get showered with hugs, snuggles, and lots of songs! Our friend Lori comes on Fridays and she adores the girls! I love my 2nd grade class, so it is such a good feeling to be able to leave the house for 8 hours, miss the girls like crazy, and know that they were so loved while I was gone! Here are some of the latest pics:
