The girls got asked to be flower girls for our friend Drew and Isa! They thought the girls were too young so they didn't ask us until the day before! Mike said, "Dani can make it happen!" I have to admit, I was nervous, but this was a challenge I was up for! 24 hours to find 2 purple dresses, white sandals, and teach the girls how to throw petals! I dragged them all over town, finally finding 2 adorable dresses at Fred Meyers! Phew! We wait till the next morning to get sandals (yes, the day of the wedding) but I had done my online research and I knew exactly where to go and what to get! After finalizing the outfit, and chugging my americano, we went home for out first practice round! I gathered a bunch of dead rhododendron petals and put them in their Easter basket! They practiced throwing the petals all over the kitchen floor by the handful! As the big hour approached, I waited for the wedding party in a garden to keep the girls distracted. When it was their turn, I carried them part way down the aisle. Then I set them down and we were off. The girls kept moving in the right direction...Riley grabbed a handful of petals and held them tight the entire way down the aisle. Morgan grabbed handful after handful and threw them down every few steps! They laughed and seemed to love the attention! We got to the end, took our seats, but the girls began talking throughout the ceremony so we kindly dismissed ourselves until the ceremony ended! What a fun memory!
